First School of SBFZ is an institution committed to provide an innocuous and caring learning community dedicated to develop children's social, emotional, intellectual, physical and moral wholeness.

The school believes in a dynamic culture with an environment that provides a sense of belongingness, sustenance and connection to others, shared vision, and a fond way for people to learn together.

First School crafts each child's education to achieve a higher level of academic, personal, and social achievement, thereby preparing students in becoming constructive contributors of their communities.

The school began in 2001 as the "little school" of F.I.R.S.T. (Freeport Institute for Research, Science & Technology), a technical school inside Subic Bay Freeport Zone that offers 2-3 years technical courses recognized by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

The "little school" started as a day care center where kids ages from 2 -5 years old were housed in two classrooms borrowed from the technical school.

In SY2002-2003, the mixed ages were formally grouped into Toddler, Nursery, and Kinder 1. The school was then named as FIRST Child Learning Center which became known to many as a good school that attends closely to children's academic needs.

In SY2004-2005, the school began to offer elementary program with Grade 1. Flourishing every year, it had its first graduating class in 2008.

In SY 2008-2009, high school program commenced with 1st and 2nd year.

The school continues to take pride in providing a quality education in line with our vision and mission - having competent, child-focused and caring teachers, a nurturing environment and involvement of school parents as our partners in educating our children. All of these, we value, the spirit of school community and one family of FIRST.
